Maya Kattan, Therapist in Training
My name is Maya, I am a second-generation immigrant from the Middle East. I hold a lot of love for my culture and am very proud of my background. I have worked with many people across all walks of life and am passionate about making sure each person is heard and seen. Additionally, I am a type one diabetic, which gives me a lot of insight into being chronically ill and the way that family dynamics may change. Previously, I was a para educator and have experience with all age groups from littles to teens and adults, and understand the nuances with each age group!
As a therapist, my goal is to make a space for you where you feel safe and have the opportunity to grow. It is my deepest belief that each person is capable of growth, and you being here is a testament to that. Working in a systemic setting means we believe that many factors of life influence us and are intertwined in the way we experience life. It means being aware of the many identities we hold as people and helping us unify and feel accepted within our own identities. It means growing and being proud to be our authentic selves. Within that, I am here to support and listen to you; it is a judgment-free space where we get to bloom together. I hope that through our time together, we work together to build resilience and strength within ourselves, our relationships, and our community.
Can’t wait to get to know you!
