Biography
Melissa Carson is a registered nurse and student nurse-midwife with a background in perinatal nursing, including labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn care. She has several years of experience teaching pre-licensure nursing students in classroom, simulation, and clinical settings. Melissa is passionate about preparing future nurses to provide compassionate, equitable, evidence-based care and strives to create learning environments that foster curiosity, confidence, and a commitment to health equity. She is proud to be part of the PLU School of Nursing and enjoys supporting students as they grow into the next generation of nurses.
