Frequently Asked Questions about the Scholarship:

This scholarship award is distributed over the course of the academic program. It helps reduce the out-of-pocket cost of your tuition for the entire degree program; up to $9,000, not exceeding the program tuition.

A portion of the scholarship will be awarded each term, based on the number of credits for which you register as a percentage of the credits required for the degree program.

After the $9,000 has been fully spent, scholarship funding will not be available for any additional coursework.

This scholarship can be awarded in addition to graduate assistantship and alumni tuition discount for which you may be eligible. However, it cannot be used together with other PLU’s scholarships, International Grant, Nordic Grant, and other international student grants.

This scholarship is not available if 100% of the student’s tuition cost is being covered by any single governmental benefit.

Yes. You probably should apply for federal financial aid, too. Scholarship awards will only reduce the out-of-pocket cost of your tuition, and financial aid can help pay for the rest. PLU’s school code is 003785. Detailed information is available at the Federal student aid website.

PLU’s employee tuition remission benefits cannot be used with this scholarship.
