Residential students are responsible for all activity in their rooms, even if a guest or visitor allegedly commits the violation, and/or if the student is not in the room at the time of the violation. Individuals residing in South Hall are responsible for all activity in common areas of their apartment as well as the bedroom to which they are assigned.
Room Cleanliness – Students are responsible for maintaining satisfactory health and life safety standards and cleaning all areas within their rooms. Students are responsible for removing trash and recyclable items regularly. All residence halls have designated areas for trash and recycling.
The University reserves the right to ask residents to clean rooms if the condition represents a health and safety concern or will result in deterioration or damages to the facility. Failure to meet reasonable cleanliness standards may be referred to Student Rights and Responsibilities.
