PLU parking lot rules and regulations are available to view on the Campus Safety Website. Students who repeatedly violate PLU’s parking policies are subject to fines and the student conduct process. PLU reserves the right to tow any vehicle parked on campus property. This includes, but is not limited to, vehicles that are not parked in a marked parking area, vehicles that may impede university operations, be a safety risk, or have received repeated citations.
Driving on the inner campus is strictly regulated. Generally, student vehicles are not permitted on the inner campus except during official move-in and out days. If a student believes the need to drive on campus they must first contact Campus Safety for approval.
Neighborhood parking is available on many of the county streets surrounding the campus and is subject to Pierce County parking regulations. Drivers are responsible for knowing these regulations. If you park in the neighborhood surrounding PLU, please keep safety in mind and be considerate of those living in these neighborhoods. Campus Safety may also issue warning citations if in violation of county rules and regulations and cause a safety hazard to the community. Multiple warnings will result in a referral to Student Conduct.
PLU welcomes all visitors to our campus and offers free parking passes to friends, family, guests and prospective students authorizing them to park in the PLU lots. Visitor day passes are available to the Campus Safety office. Students may be held responsible for any parking infractions their guests may receive.
