Student Financial Aid Complaint Policy and Procedure

Pacific Lutheran University is committed to assisting all qualified and eligible students, regardless of race, creed, religion, gender, national origin, age, mental or physical disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or any status protected by law.

Pacific Lutheran University has signed participation agreements with the U.S. Department of Education and with the Washington Student Achievement Council that allow our students to receive funding from their respective federal and state student aid programs. Awarding and disbursement of all aid is made in accordance with statutes, regulations, and policies promulgated by these governing agencies and the university. Students who feel they have been treated unfairly or not in accordance with published policies can submit a written complaint to the Dean of Enrollment Management and Student Financial Services for a university review.

If a student is dissatisfied with the decision reached by the university, they may contact the Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC) for an independent review.
