What he would like other students to know:
Studying away was one of the most transformative experiences I have ever had in my life. It was my first time out of the country, It was the first time traveling without my parents, and it was significant time in which I really started grappling with the concept of culture and how mine comes from a completely different context than those of another country.
A piece of advice to future study away students:
Stepping out of your comfort zone really makes the experience so much better because you never know next time you will ever be back there.
What surprised him about studying away:
The most surprising thing I found in Greece was that people do not mind staring, and they will stare at you too. It took a little bit of adjusting to but it became second nature to look back at people looking at the class like we were having a bad hair day.
